Melba was married to Leroy (Thunder) Miles and they had
Four children. She married Leroy Neri "Dunc" Duncan and they had one child.
Melba Eugenia Duncan, 78, of Fruitland, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013, in Mesa, Ariz. She was born Feb. 9, 1935, in Hereford, Texas, to Homer Lloyd and S.E. Odom Sharp.
In her spare time, she enjoyed attending church and sewing quilts for friends and family. She loved cookbooks, old movies and TV shows, such as "Law and Order" and "Third Rock from the Sun."
Melba was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Henry Lloyd Sharp; and sister, Wilma Oline Sharp.
She is survived by her husband, Leroy Duncan; sons, Gilbert LaMont Miles; daughters, Alsace Lorraine Grantham, Jacqueline Warlick, Melinda "Mindy" Miles and Heather Begay; 11 siblings; and 15 grandchildren
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 6, at the First Baptist Church of Kirtland, 17 Road 6500, with Pastor Brett Puckitt officiating.
Burial will follow in the Kirtland-Fruitland Cemetery, Road 6575 in Kirtland.
A reception will be at the church after the burial.
